SeaWeek is a national campaign run annually dedicated to marine education, environmental appreciation and ocean literacy.
This year, DBCA’s marine science and education teams were out in force taking ocean knowledge into classrooms, communities and corporate and online spaces, with a goal to build understanding, curiosity and inspire care and appreciation for the ocean and marine environments.
Clodagh Guildea and Tristan Simpson from the North West Shelf Flatback Turtle Conservation Program were involved across several of the events, and Dr Malindi Gammon – a previous PhD student with the Program – presented in the webinar, specifically about how the changing climate impacts flatback turtles. Thank you to everyone that contributed their time, expertise and enthusiasm to reach hundreds of people over the week and make Sea Week a success once again.
