Liz Huangfu

Technical Officer (Data Analyst and Manager)

Liz has been working with the North West Shelf Flatback Turtle Conservation Program (NWSFTCP) since 2026. Her role includes supporting the management, analysis, and reporting of environmental and marine fauna data. 

Liz is committed to the development and maintenance of the Western Australian Marine Turtle Database (WASTD), including data migration, quality assurance and system improvements. She works closely with scientists, field staff and external collaborators to ensure high-quality data are available to support research, monitoring and conservation outcomes.

  • Management, maintenance and ongoing development of WASTD 
  • Data migration, validation and quality assurance of historical and contemporary marine turtle monitoring datasets 
  • Development of data management workflows, reporting tools and analytical products to support marine conservation research and management
